The Lock 7 Tour starts from the Lock 3 Museum and goes all the way to the Lock 7 and the Museum and Viewing Complex at Thorold.
On the way, you will learn all about the Welland Canal, its history and engineering.
We will stop 8 to 10 times and take a break at the Twin/Flight Locks where “The Ships Climb The Mountain”.
We will then travel along the Murals of Thorold painted in 2006 by Shawn Reimer . These murals present the rich history of Thorold and include the Battle of Beaverdams, the 4 Welland Canals and the 1900 Bombing.
After taking another break at the Lock 7 Information Centre, we will come back riding along the Canal so you can enjoy your Segway.
The tour lasts about 2 hours and is bout 9km long return trip.
